Rental
The rental fleet runs separately from the sales stock: categories with hourly, daily and weekly tariffs, overlap-free reservations and a rental contract created on the tablet that cannot be changed afterwards.
Fleet and reservation
- Categories with tariffs and tiers (from day n), weekly price and deposit per bike; accessories per rental or per rental day
- Occupancy calendar; the database itself prevents overlaps
- Reservation requested or confirmed, unconfirmed requests expire after a deadline
- Best-price rule: never more expensive than a longer period, remaining hours capped at the next daily rate
- Move bikes from the sales stock into the fleet and back
Handover, return, billing
- Tablet handover: frame number check, checklist, photos, rental terms, signatures; rental contract as PDF/A-3
- Deposit by bank transfer or card pre-authorisation; return with final price, grace minutes and damage
- Billing by invoice or at the register; genuine damages on their own document
- Overdue returns are flagged; retire bikes to used bikes or back into sales
- Rental archive stays readable after the licence ends
